Dark 5 Light Glass Cluster Pendant - Amber & Smoke Grey

The Dark is a 5-light cluster pendant with spherical glass shades in two finishes—deep amber and smoke grey—suspended from a matt black circular canopy with satin brass detailing. The five globes vary in size between 12cm and 20cm diameter, each housing a G9 bulb fitting, and hang at staggered heights on individual black fabric cables.

Designed for dining rooms, stairwells and double-height entrance halls, the Dark works where ceiling heights allow the cluster to occupy vertical space without crowding. The adjustable drop ranges from 50cm to 200cm, giving flexibility to position the lowest globe 60-80cm above a dining table or to extend the full cluster across a two-storey void. The 45cm canopy diameter spreads the five drop points across a wide ceiling rose, preventing cable bunching.

The amber and smoke grey glass spheres are mouth-blown with a slight shimmer finish that catches light when the bulbs are off and diffuses it when lit. The matt black canopy and cable sleeves contrast with satin brass lampholders and canopy trim, giving the fitting a retro-industrial tone that pairs with both warm wood interiors and cooler monochrome schemes. The 4.2kg weight requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or reinforced rose.

The Dark takes five G9 bulbs at 10W each, sold separately. G9 capsule bulbs are compact and available in warm white (2700K-3000K) or daylight (4000K) colour temperatures, with dimmable and non-dimmable LED variants. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments only.

What bulbs does the Dark take?

The fitting takes five G9 capsule bulbs at 10W maximum each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm white LED G9 bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in dining and living spaces.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each of the five cables is individually adjustable between 50cm and 200cm during installation. Once the cables are cut and terminated at the desired length, further adjustment requires re-terminating the cable.

What ceiling height is needed?

For a dining table the lowest globe typically sits 60-80cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above at the minimum 50cm drop. For stairwells or double-height spaces the full 200cm drop can be used where ceiling heights exceed 3m.

Is the glass fragile during installation?

The mouth-blown glass spheres are more fragile than pressed glass. Handle each globe with two hands during assembly and avoid knocking them against hard surfaces. Once installed and stationary the glass is durable under normal indoor conditions.
