Description
The Dark is a 20cm spherical amber glass pendant with a matt black ceiling canopy and satin brass lampholder housing a single G9 fitting. It comes with 1 x 4W G9 bulb included, so the fitting arrives ready to use. The amber-tinted glass globe diffuses light from the G9 bulb into a warm golden glow, turning the shade itself into the visible light source rather than creating bright downlight.
Designed for dining tables, coffee tables, bedside positions and lounge corners where ambient light is needed without overhead brightness, the Dark works as a single pendant or in clusters of two or three along a kitchen island or hallway. The adjustable drop ranges from 35cm to 220cm, allowing the pendant to be set 60-80cm above a dining table in standard-height rooms or shortened for lower ceilings. The matt black canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.
The combination of matt black metalwork and satin brass lampholder gives the fitting a dual-tone character that pairs with industrial, mid-century and contemporary interiors. The amber glass adds warmth to rooms with darker woods, exposed brick, concrete finishes or neutral colour schemes. The 0.73kg weight gives the pendant a solid presence on the cable without needing additional ceiling bracing.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The pendant uses a G9 capsule bulb up to 10W, and 1 x 4W G9 bulb is included, so it arrives ready to use. The included warm-white LED suits the amber glass tone, with a colour temperature between 2700K and 3000K.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is for dry indoor use only and cannot be installed in bathrooms or anywhere exposed to moisture or splashing.
What drop height is recommended for a dining table?
The adjustable cable allows drops from 35cm to 220cm. For a dining table, position the pendant 60-80cm above the table surface, depending on ceiling height. This typically requires setting the drop at 100-150cm in a 2.4m-height room.
Can multiple pendants be clustered together?
Yes. The Dark works well in clusters of two or three along a kitchen island or in a hallway. Space pendants 40-60cm apart centre-to-centre to avoid overcrowding while maintaining visual rhythm.
