Description

This Knightsbridge rocker cover is laser-printed with 'Fan Boost' and designed exclusively for the Curved Edge grid switching system. Moulded from white thermoset resin with antimicrobial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011, the rocker cover clips onto Knightsbridge grid modules to replace the standard blank rocker or to re-designate an existing switch function.

Suited to commercial and domestic installations where fan control is required — bathrooms, shower rooms, utility rooms and kitchens with extractor fans. The rocker removes and replaces without removing the grid module from the back box or disconnecting wiring, making it practical to relabel functions during fit-out or refurbishment. The laser-printed text remains readable under repeated contact and does not fade or wear off like adhesive labels.

The rocker measures 30.6mm high by 15.9mm wide with a 10mm projection from the grid faceplate once fitted. The white finish coordinates with the Curved Edge switches and sockets range and the IP20 rating makes it suitable for general indoor dry areas. The thermoset resin construction withstands typical electrical accessory operating temperatures and the antimicrobial properties reduce surface bacterial growth between cleaning.

Is this compatible with standard UK grid systems?

No. This rocker is designed exclusively for the Knightsbridge Curved Edge grid switching system. It will not fit standard flat-profile grid modules from other manufacturers or Knightsbridge's own flat grid range.

Can the rocker be changed without removing the grid module?

Yes. The rocker clips onto the grid module and can be removed and replaced without disconnecting wiring or removing the module from the back box. This allows function labels to be changed during installation or refurbishment.

What does the antimicrobial property mean?

The thermoset resin has been tested to ISO 22196:2011, which measures reduction in surface bacterial growth. This is useful in environments where switches are touched frequently, such as kitchens, bathrooms and commercial facilities, reducing bacterial colonisation between cleaning.
