Description

Cuadrat is a rechargeable table lamp in white: a square, softly glowing shade on a squared base, 30cm tall and 14cm across. Its integrated LED gives 150 lumens of warm white light at 2700K from just 1.3W, so there is never a bulb to buy or change, and a CRI of 90+ keeps colours on the table looking true. It dims by touch on the lamp itself, so there is no dimmer switch to fit.

With no cable to run, it goes wherever the evening does. Rated IP45, it suits outdoor use as well as the house: a garden table, a terrace or a balcony after dark, then back indoors to a bedside, sideboard or dining table. The maker states it is intended to light up indoor and outdoor areas. It can also hang as a pendant by its leather strap, from a tree branch, a hook or a pergola, giving you a lantern overhead instead of a lamp on the table. The lithium polymer battery gives about 8 hours of light and takes 5 hours to charge, so one charge sees you through a long evening.

It is made from iron, plastic, wood and leather, in a clean white finish that reads crisply against planting or a dark wall. It comes without a charger or USB cable, which are sold separately: the Single USB Lamp Charger with 1.5m Cable charges one lamp, and the 8 Port USB Lamp Charger with 1.5m Cables charges up to eight at once. Josep Novell and Ernest Perera designed it. On a long garden table, set two or three along its length, or hang one from a low branch above the seating.
