Description

The Contra cushion is a plain velvet oblong measuring 40 x 60cm, with an olive-green velvet face and a linen-look reverse in a neutral oatmeal tone. It is made from 100% polyester, so the pile is soft to the touch and holds its colour rather than fading the way some natural fibres can. The two faces give you a choice: the deep velvet side for warmth and light-catching depth, and the flatter woven-look side when you want something quieter.

At 40 x 60cm this is a bolster-width oblong rather than a square, which makes it well suited to the front of a bed, where it sits comfortably against sleeping pillows, or propped in the corner of a sofa or armchair to support the lower back. The olive velvet reads as a warm, muted green and works alongside other textured cushions, so you can layer it with linens, wools and knits for depth. Turned to its reverse, it grounds a busier arrangement and lets a patterned cushion beside it do the talking.

The cover is finished with standard edging and a hidden zip closure, so the fastening stays out of sight and the cover comes off cleanly for cleaning.
