Description

The Colette is a 47cm semi-flush ceiling light built around a continuous loop of brushed aluminium finished in rose gold, with three opal silicone diffusers positioned at intervals around the frame. An integrated 37W LED array inside the diffusers casts warm 3000K light through the silicone, distributing ambient illumination across the ceiling plane and down into the room.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, landings and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4-3m, the Colette sits 16cm below the ceiling rose once fitted, making it suitable for rooms where a traditional pendant would hang too low. The rose gold finish provides a warmer metallic accent than polished chrome or brushed nickel, pairing well with blush, terracotta, warm grey and natural timber interiors. The opal silicone diffusers soften the LED output and eliminate visible individual diodes or hotspots.

The fitting supports dual dimming protocols: TRIAC (standard trailing-edge dimmer switches) and 0-10V (commercial lighting control systems). This means it can be paired with most UK-market household dimmers or integrated into programmable control setups in hospitality and residential developments. The brushed aluminium frame weighs 1.58kg and mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose with the included gravity toggles, which allow installation on plasterboard ceilings without needing to locate a joist.

Is the Colette dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED supports both TRIAC (trailing-edge dimmer switches) and 0-10V dimming protocols. Most standard UK household dimmers will work with TRIAC mode, while 0-10V suits commercial lighting control systems.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The fitting projects 16cm below the ceiling rose, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. It works well where a pendant would hang too low or where ceiling height limits the use of larger fittings.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means it is not protected against moisture and must be installed in dry interior spaces only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor areas.

How is the rose gold finish maintained?

The brushed aluminium frame can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with water only. Avoid abrasive cleaners, polishes or chemical sprays which can damage the brushed finish.
