Description
The Circe is a 180x90cm wall sculpture built from curved stainless steel tubes finished in golden plating, arranged to resemble wind-swept ribbons or abstract feather forms. Each tube is shaped into an arc and layered at angles to create depth and movement, with the golden finish reflecting ambient light across the curved surfaces. The piece mounts to the wall via concealed fixings and can be hung horizontally or vertically depending on the wall proportions.
Designed for large wall expanses in formal lounges, entrance halls, above stairwells, and dining rooms, the Circe works best on walls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above where the 180cm width or 90cm height (depending on orientation) can be seen without furniture obstruction. The 23cm projection from the wall allows the curved tubes to cast shadows that shift with changing daylight or interior lighting angles, giving the piece different visual weight throughout the day.
The golden finish is a warm metallic tone rather than bright yellow-gold, sitting closer to brushed brass or antique gold depending on the light source. The open arrangement of tubes keeps the 9.2kg weight distributed across the mounting points without making the piece feel visually heavy. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion and tarnishing, so the finish holds its tone without requiring polishing or maintenance beyond occasional dusting with a dry microfibre cloth.

Frequently Asked
Can this be mounted vertically as well as horizontally?
Yes. The Circe can be hung in either orientation depending on the wall shape and available space. The mounting fixings are concealed behind the sculpture regardless of orientation.
What wall fixings are needed for the 9.2kg weight?
The Circe requires wall fixings rated for at least 12-15kg to provide a safety margin. On plasterboard walls, use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors or locate wall studs. On masonry, use expansion bolts or suitable anchors for brick or concrete.
Does the golden finish tarnish over time?
The stainless steel base resists corrosion and the golden plating is sealed, so tarnishing is minimal. Dust with a dry microfibre cloth to maintain the finish. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
What room height does this suit?
The 180cm width (or 90cm height when vertical) works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, where the full scale of the piece can be appreciated without visual compression from low ceilings.
