Description

This is a flexible two core cable with a flat profile and a clear sheath, so the pair of conductors sits side by side rather than twisted into a round flex. The gauge is 1.5mm, which puts it at the heavier end of the domestic lighting flexes, and it is VDE approved. It is sold by the metre, and however many metres you order arrive as a single continuous length rather than cut pieces, so you can measure and trim to suit the job in front of you.

We keep this on the shelf for rewiring table and floor lamps, refreshing a tired pendant drop, and any job where the flex is visible and a bulky black cable would draw the eye. The clear sheath reads as a soft grey line against pale plaster, white paint or glass, which is why we reach for it in bedrooms, over dining tables and along shelving.
