Description
The Caval cushion is worked in a contrast jacquard that plays two textures against one another: a nubbly boucle set against a smoother chenille pile, so the abstract pattern is something you feel as much as see. The design is bold and graphic, dark ivy green shapes breaking across an off-white ground, with the raised chenille catching the light where the flatter boucle sits back. It measures 50 by 50cm, the square size that most standard cushion pads are made to fill, and it is finished in 100% polyester throughout.
A 50cm square is the workhorse of a sofa or bed. It holds its shape at the back of a seat and gives you something substantial to lean into, and it layers happily with smaller rectangular cushions in front. The green-and-cream palette is easy to place against neutral upholstery, natural timber and warm walls, and the strong pattern means one or two do the job on their own without needing a busy pile around them. It suits a living room sofa, a reading chair or the head of a bed equally well.
The face carries the textured jacquard; turn it over and the reverse is a plain velvet in the same deep green, so a pair can be styled pattern-up or plain-up depending on the mood of the room. A piped edge runs the whole way round, giving the cushion a crisp, defined outline, and a zip closure along one side lets you take the cover off the pad. Being polyester, the fabric is hard-wearing and holds colour well, which makes it a practical choice for a cushion that gets daily use. Sold as a single cushion.

Frequently Asked
What size pad should I put in this cover?
The cover measures 50 by 50cm, so a 50cm square pad fits it well. For a plumper, fuller look many people size up to a 55cm pad so the corners stay filled.
Is the cover removable?
Yes. There is a zip closure along one side, so you can take the cover off the pad whenever you need to.
What does the back of the cushion look like?
The reverse is a plain velvet in the same deep green as the pattern, so you can turn it pattern-side or plain-side out depending on how you want it to look.
What are the two textures on the front?
The face combines boucle, which is nubbly and looped, with chenille, which has a softer raised pile. The contrast jacquard sets one against the other to build the pattern.
Is polyester a good choice for a cushion in daily use?
Polyester is hard-wearing and holds its colour well over time, which makes it a practical fabric for a cushion that gets leaned on and moved around every day.
