Capitol Hill 6 Light Chandelier - Black

The Capitol Hill is a 6-light chandelier built on a 730mm diameter ring of matt black metal, from which six curved arms extend outward, each holding a vertical candle tube with an E14 bulb fitting. The arms loop downward from the ring before rising again to the candle positions, creating an open cage-like structure that keeps the frame visible from below while allowing light to spread freely around the fitting.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights above 2.4m, the Capitol Hill pairs well with tables measuring 1600-2000mm in length or seating areas where the chandelier sits above the central conversation zone. The drop is adjustable between 658mm and 1922mm using the supplied chain, allowing the fitting to be positioned 700-850mm above a dining table or higher in double-height entrance halls. The black metal canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the chain conceals the cable run.

The matt black finish on the metalwork absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping visual focus on the six bulbs rather than the frame itself. What table size does it suit?

The 730mm diameter works well above dining tables between 1600-2000mm in length. For rectangular tables, the chandelier typically sits centrally along the table's length, positioned 700-850mm above the tabletop depending on ceiling height.

Can the drop be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by adjusting the chain length before connecting to the ceiling rose. Once installed, changing the drop requires accessing the ceiling connection point to shorten or lengthen the chain.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen. LED candle bulbs marked as dimmable will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer circuit.
