Description

Here is a downlight built for scale: a wide round aperture that sits flush with the ceiling line, showing nothing but a matt white rim and a broad, evenly lit face. The LED module is integral and rated at 30W, putting out a warm white 3000K that lands closer to lamplight than daylight. Output is spread wide rather than punched into a tight pool, so the light falls softly across a room instead of picking out a single spot on the floor. It needs a 285mm cut-out and arrives with its driver.

We reach for a fitting this size where a room needs real light from very few points: an open plan kitchen and dining space, a hallway with a long run of ceiling, a landing, a home office. A single unit can cover ground that would otherwise want a scattered grid of small apertures, which keeps the ceiling calmer.
