Description

The Busto is an 80x120cm LED-lit canvas print showing a classical bust rendered in cyan and magenta gradients wearing glowing headphones, set against a black background. The canvas is printed, glued onto board and framed in black, with an integrated LED outline that traces the contour of the bust and headphones in soft white light.

Designed for music rooms, gaming setups, teenage bedrooms and creative studios, the Busto adds a pop-art take on neoclassical form where colour and light replace traditional stone. The 4cm depth includes the frame and board backing, allowing the piece to hang flush on most wall types with a single rear fixing point. The LED element runs on low-voltage power via a concealed cable and inline switch.

The printed canvas uses UV-resistant inks to prevent fading under daylight, while the black frame edge hides the board substrate and gives a gallery-style finish. At 5.2kg the piece needs a secure wall fixing rated for the weight — standard picture hooks are not adequate. The cyan-to-magenta gradient across the bust creates tonal variation that shifts depending on viewing angle and ambient light level.

The LED outline runs on low-voltage power via a concealed cable with an inline switch. The cable exits from the rear of the frame and plugs into a standard UK mains socket via a transformer. Check the product specification sheet for exact voltage and power consumption.

Can the LED be turned off?

Yes. An inline switch on the cable allows the LED to be turned on or off. When switched off, the piece functions as a standard printed canvas without the glow effect.

What wall fixing is needed for the 5.2kg weight?

The 5.2kg weight requires a wall fixing rated for at least 8-10kg to provide a safety margin. On plasterboard walls, use a plasterboard anchor or locate a stud. On masonry, a wall plug and screw rated for the weight is adequate. Standard picture hooks are not strong enough.

Is the print UV-resistant?

The canvas uses UV-resistant inks designed to prevent fading under daylight exposure. Prolonged direct sunlight over months or years may still cause gradual colour shift, so positioning the piece away from south-facing windows extends the lifespan of the print.
