Description

The Bruma is a 90cm semi-flush ceiling light built around three asymmetric chrome-finished metal ovals that rotate around a central axis, each containing integrated LED strips behind white methacrylate diffusers. Below the metal structure, approximately 50 white crystal droplets with polished edges hang suspended on fine cables, creating a cascading cloud of reflective elements. The combined metal rings and crystal drops give the fitting a 50cm projection from the ceiling.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Bruma suits large living rooms, entrance halls, stairwells and dining rooms where a semi-flush fitting provides more presence than a flush mount but where a full pendant would drop too low. The integrated LED system delivers 9,312 lumens at 3000K across the combined 68W output, providing both upward ambient light through the diffusers and downward sparkle from the crystals. The fitting supports 0-10V dimming protocol, requiring a compatible dimmer on the mains circuit.

The chrome finish on the metal rings is a bright polished chrome that reflects surrounding colours and light sources, giving the fitting different appearances depending on room lighting and wall tones. The white crystals are cut methacrylate rather than glass, reducing the overall weight to 8.8kg while maintaining sharp-edged refraction. Installation uses gravity toggles to secure the fitting to the ceiling, suitable for standard plasterboard or solid ceilings. The fitting is rated IP20 and carries Class 1 earthing, so it requires a three-core mains cable and cannot be used in bathrooms or other wet zones.

Is the Bruma dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED supports 0-10V dimming protocol. You will need a compatible 0-10V dimmer switch installed on the mains circuit — standard phase-cut dimmers will not work with this fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting projects 50cm from the ceiling. For safe clearance in a living room or hallway, a ceiling height of 2.6m or above is recommended. Lower ceilings may still accommodate the Bruma depending on furniture layout and circulation space.

Are the crystals real glass?

No. The suspended droplets are white methacrylate (acrylic) with polished edges, cut to refract light like glass crystal but at lower weight. This reduces the overall fitting weight to 8.8kg and makes installation easier on standard ceilings.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No. The Bruma is rated IP20, which means it is not protected against moisture ingress. It is suitable only for dry indoor locations — living rooms, hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms.
