The Braywick cushion carries a mirrored floral design across a soft velvet face, with the pattern repeated symmetrically so each half answers the other. On a near-black ground, painted daisies, broad leaves, acorns and bumblebees are arranged around a central axis, giving a busy but ordered picture of a British garden. The front is printed velvet; the reverse, as the photographs show, is a plain sage-green velvet with a piped edge running all the way round. It is a 43cm square, which is the standard size most sofa and armchair scatter cushions are cut to.

This is a cushion for a living room or a bedroom where you want a bit of depth and pattern without a full print scheme. The dark ground and green reverse sit comfortably against grey and neutral upholstery, and the green picks up naturally from panelled or painted walls in similar tones.
