Description

The Bosca is an 84mm recessed LED wall light in black powder-coated metal, housing an integrated 3W 3000K LED behind a rectangular aperture. The fitting sits flush within a wall or step riser, with the LED directed downward or forward depending on installation orientation, casting warm white light across the surface below or ahead.

Designed for outdoor steps, pathways, driveway edges and garden walls, the Bosca provides low-level directional light that marks changes in level and guides movement after dark without creating upward light pollution. The IP65 rating seals the fitting against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for exposed locations including coastal areas and regions with heavy rain. The recessed installation keeps the fitting below the mounting surface, reducing risk of impact damage on steps or pathways.

The black metal body measures 84mm wide by 54mm tall with a depth determined by the recess pocket required in the wall or step (refer to the installation manual in Downloads for exact recess dimensions). The powder-coated finish resists corrosion and UV degradation. The 3W LED runs on 100-240V AC mains, eliminating the need for a transformer, and draws minimal current once installed. The exact recess depth and aperture dimensions are specified in the installation manual available in the Downloads tab above. The fitting must be recessed into the wall or step rather than surface-mounted.

Can this be installed in a coastal location?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects against water jets and dust, and the powder-coated metal construction resists salt corrosion. Regular rinsing with fresh water extends the finish life in coastal environments.

Does it need a transformer?

No. The fitting runs directly on 100-240V AC mains, so it can be wired into standard outdoor lighting circuits without additional transformers or drivers.

What direction does the light emit?

The LED emits forward or downward depending on how the fitting is oriented during installation. When installed in a step riser it lights the tread below; when installed in a horizontal wall it lights forward along a pathway.
