Description

Three lights hang along a slim polished chrome bar, spaced across its 129cm length so the light falls evenly instead of pooling in one spot. The shading is silver leaf backed with a white laminate lining, 40cm across, which gives a bright reflective face in daylight and a soft, warm spread once the lamps are lit. Each holder takes an E27 lamp, and with suitable lamps and a compatible dimmer the whole run can be taken down to a low, quiet level for the end of an evening.

This is the shape to use over a long dining table, a kitchen island or a bench run, where one central pendant would leave the ends of the table in shadow. The flex gives a wide range of drop, so it can sit high and tidy under a modest ceiling or come down properly in a room with height above. We reach for it in open-plan kitchens and dining rooms where the ceiling is plain and the table is meant to be the centre of things, and it works particularly well against pale walls and stainless steel.

The metalwork is polished chrome from the bar through to the lamp holders, so it sits comfortably alongside chrome taps, handles and appliances. Keep the shine with an occasional pass of a dry microfibre cloth, and treat the shade gently with a soft brush rather than anything damp. It is rated for dry rooms indoors, which rules out bathroom zones and anywhere exposed to weather. It carries a one year warranty.
