Description

Three E14 lamps sit beneath a single wide organza shade, so the light arrives soft and diffused rather than pointed. The frame is finished in satin nickel, a quiet grey-silver with a low sheen that keeps the metalwork from competing with the fabric above it. Organza has a fine, gauzy weave, so you get a little texture along with the diffusion. The shade measures 60cm across and is shallow in proportion, giving a broad, flat silhouette. Candle lamps suit the multi arm form, and each takes up to 20W.

We reach for this where a room needs width rather than depth: over a dining table, in a wide hallway, or centred in a bedroom with decent ceiling height. The drop is adjustable, so it can hang low over a table or sit closer to the ceiling where headroom matters. Dimming is possible if you fit dimmable lamps and a suitable dimmer, which lets the same fitting move from bright mealtimes to something softer later on. It suits anyone after a decorative centrepiece that still spreads light evenly.

Metal arms and stem carry the satin nickel finish, and the grey organza is sheer enough to glow once the lamps are on.
