Description
The Auravel is a 450mm tiered alabaster chandelier built from four descending rings of vertically suspended natural Spanish alabaster panels, hung from a matte black metal frame. Nine E14 lamp holders sit inside the structure, with the alabaster acting as the diffuser. The fitting measures 450mm in diameter and 450mm in height, excluding the drop rod and ceiling canopy.
This is the small version of the Auravel range, scaled for hallways, dining tables in compact rooms, and bedrooms with ceilings of 2.4m or higher. The drop rod brings the chandelier down to a typical hanging point of 700-800mm above a dining table, where the four-tier silhouette reads as a defined shape rather than a single mass. The matte black canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.
Each alabaster panel is cut from natural stone, so the veining, density and translucency vary between individual pieces. When the nine E14 bulbs are lit, light passes through the stone and softens at the panel edges, while the matte black frame holds a clean outline against the glow. Stainless steel structural components keep the tiers aligned and the panels evenly spaced around each ring.
The combination of warm alabaster and matte black metalwork suits transitional, contemporary and Art Deco-influenced interiors. The piece carries a 2 year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Auravel take?
The chandelier uses nine E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers pair this fitting with warm-white LED candle bulbs around 4-6W and 2700K-3000K, which complements the natural warmth of the alabaster.
Is the Auravel suitable for low ceilings?
The chandelier is 450mm tall before the drop rod and canopy are added. It works best in rooms with ceilings of 2.4m or higher. The drop rod can usually be shortened on installation if a lower hanging point is needed.
Does the alabaster vary between panels?
Yes. Every panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining patterns, mineral density and translucency differ from panel to panel. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a manufacturing inconsistency, and gives each Auravel a different appearance once lit.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Dust the panels with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays and chemical cleaners, as these can mark or stain the stone permanently.
