Description

The Astral is a 2-light industrial floor lamp with two independently adjustable chrome heads mounted on a vertical stem, set on a 240mm circular chrome base. Each head houses an E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately) and can be angled on its articulated arm to direct light towards a reading position, desk surface or wall.

Designed as task lighting for reading corners next to armchairs, home offices and bedside positions, the Astral provides focused light from two sources without needing two separate lamps. Both heads can be positioned independently, allowing one to illuminate a desk while the other provides ambient uplighting, or both to converge on a single reading area. The slender profile occupies minimal floor space while the weighted circular base provides stability on carpet, bare floors and rugs.

The chrome finish gives the metal frame a reflective, industrial appearance that pairs well with mid-century, contemporary and minimalist interiors. The vertical stem stands approximately 1.5m tall, placing the lamp heads at comfortable reading height when angled downward from a standing position. Each head accepts a standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to the maximum wattage listed in the specification table, giving flexibility to choose light temperature and brightness.

Each of the two lamp heads takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for reading, or cooler 4000K for task lighting in home offices.

Can the lamp heads be positioned independently?

Yes. Each head is mounted on its own articulated arm and can be angled and rotated separately. This allows both heads to illuminate the same area for brighter task light, or to be positioned in different directions for multi-zone lighting.
