Description

The Arion is a black metal floor lamp with a conical uplighter shade at the head and a circular base, standing approximately 1.8m tall. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) that directs light upwards through the 300mm-diameter cone, casting indirect wash light onto the ceiling and upper walls rather than focused task light.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where ambient or supplementary lighting is needed without a pendant fitting, the Arion works well in spaces with white or light-coloured ceilings that reflect the uplight back into the room. The 1.5m cable allows the lamp to be positioned away from wall sockets without an extension lead, and the circular base keeps the profile compact at around 300mm diameter.

The metal construction is finished in a matt black powder coat that resists fingerprints and sits comfortably in modern, industrial and minimalist interiors. The lamp is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty from Ideal Lux. It is not dimmable on standard circuits, so bulb choice determines the light output — most users pair it with a 10-15W warm-white LED bulb for ambient room lighting.
