Description
The Argos is a 42cm table lamp built around a chrome-plated metal stem and circular base, topped with a mirrored crystal drum shade. Inside the shade, Murano-style glass drops hang from the ceiling of the drum, positioned to catch and refract light from three G9 bulbs. The lamp includes 3 x G9 6W bulbs, so it arrives ready to use. The mirrored crystal outer surface reflects the room back onto itself while the inner glass drops create overlapping patterns of refraction.
Designed for bedside tables, console tables and dressing tables in bedrooms, the Argos provides ambient light rather than task light, the mirrored shade diffuses the G9 bulbs evenly in all directions. The 28cm diameter footprint fits standard bedside tables without overhanging the edge, and the 2.7kg weight gives stability on glass or wood surfaces. The chrome finish pairs with contemporary and classical interiors that use metallic accents.
The mirrored crystal shade is a single piece of glass with a reflective coating on the exterior surface, so the lamp reads differently depending on the angle of view and the light level in the room. Under daylight the shade reflects the surroundings; in the evening with the lamp switched on, the interior glass drops become visible through the translucent mirror coating. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations, bathrooms and outdoor positions are not suitable.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Argos take?
The lamp takes three G9 capsule bulbs, each rated at a maximum of 10W. It includes 3 x G9 6W bulbs, so it arrives ready to use for warm ambient bedroom lighting.
Is it dimmable?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific G9 LED bulbs used. Check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before pairing with a dimmer switch. Halogen G9 bulbs are generally dimmable on most household dimmers.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations. Bathrooms require a minimum IP44 rating for zones near water sources.
How is the mirrored shade cleaned?
Wipe the mirrored crystal surface gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household glass cleaners that contain ammonia, as these can damage the reflective coating over time.
