Description

The Arcus is a 2m aluminium LED corner profile designed for surface mounting in internal corners where walls meet at 90 degrees. The profile has a 16x16mm triangular cross-section with a frosted polycarbonate diffuser that clips into the aluminium channel, creating a continuous corner light line when fitted with LED strip tape (sold separately).

Used to add architectural accent lighting in kitchens, living rooms, hallways and commercial spaces, the Arcus mounts onto the corner junction using the keyhole slots machined along the back of the profile. The white powder-coated aluminium finish blends into white or light-coloured walls and ceilings while the frosted diffuser softens the individual LED diodes into a smooth line of light without visible hotspots.

The aluminium channel acts as a heatsink for the LED strip, dissipating heat away from the diodes and prolonging strip life compared to tape mounted directly onto plaster or MDF. The channel accepts LED strip tape up to 12mm wide, which sits inside the profile with the diffuser clipped over the top to conceal the tape and its adhesive backing. The 2m length can be cut to size on site using a hacksaw and the ends capped with the separately-available Arcus end caps.

Does the Arcus include LED strip tape?

No. The profile is sold as the aluminium channel and frosted diffuser only. LED strip tape, power supplies, connectors and end caps are sold separately. The channel accepts LED strip tape up to 12mm wide.

Can the 2m length be cut to size?

Yes. The aluminium profile can be cut to any length using a hacksaw or mitre saw with a metal-cutting blade. Cut ends should be deburred and fitted with Arcus end caps to seal the profile and prevent dust ingress.

How is it mounted?

The Arcus has keyhole slots machined along the back face of the profile. Screws are driven into the corner junction at intervals (typically 300-500mm), then the profile is hooked over the screw heads and slid down to lock in place. The LED strip is then applied inside the channel and the diffuser clipped on.

What finish is the diffuser?

The diffuser is frosted polycarbonate, which softens the light output and hides the individual LED diodes on the strip tape. The frosting provides enough diffusion to create a continuous line of light without visible hotspots while maintaining good light transmission.
