Description

The Arcena is a 700mm square LED pendant light built from a minimal matt black aluminium frame with integrated warm white 3000K LED strips running along all four sides. The frame measures just 25mm in height, creating a floating square outline of light rather than a solid mass, and hangs on adjustable cables with a maximum drop of 2500mm from the ceiling rose.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan office spaces where overhead light needs to cover a defined square or rectangular area, the 700mm frame sits comfortably above tables measuring 1400-1800mm in length. The LED strips face both upward and downward, bouncing light off the ceiling while also illuminating the surface below. The IP20 rating limits the Arcena to dry indoor locations only.

The matt black powder-coat finish on the aluminium frame absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, so the suspended square reads as a dark outline by day and a defined square of warm light when switched on. The integrated LED eliminates the need for separate bulbs or lamp changes, and the 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white output that suits both residential and hospitality settings. At 700 x 700mm the Arcena works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, with the cable length adjustable during installation to set the correct height above the table or work surface.

Is the Arcena dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at fixed output on standard 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches. If dimming is required, consider pairing with a smart switch or relay that controls on/off state only.

What table size does the 700mm frame suit?

The 700mm square frame works best above rectangular dining tables measuring 1400-1800mm in length, or square tables up to 1400mm. For larger tables, consider the 900mm or 1200mm versions of the Arcena if available.

Does the LED emit light upward and downward?

Yes. LED strips run along all four sides of the frame, facing both upward to bounce light off the ceiling and downward to illuminate the table surface below. This creates both ambient and task lighting.

Can the cable length be shortened after installation?

The 2500mm cable can be adjusted during installation by looping excess cable inside the ceiling rose, but once the pendant is hung and wired, shortening requires re-accessing the ceiling void. Plan the drop height before final installation.
