Description

The Arcana-1 is a 225mm outdoor wall light built from powder-coated die-cast aluminium with an integrated 6W LED emitting 3000K warm white light through a tempered glass front panel. The IP65 rating protects the internal LED module from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK climates.

Designed for surface mounting on exterior walls, the Arcana-1 suits porches, front and back door entryways, garden pathways, garage entrances and courtyard walls where functional task lighting is needed. The 130mm projection from the wall sits the light far enough forward to cast downward illumination across a 1.5-2m radius at ground level when mounted at typical door-height positions of 1.8-2.2m. The white powder-coated finish pairs with white or pale-rendered facades, coastal homes, and contemporary builds.

The rectangular die-cast aluminium housing is heavier and more robust than injection-moulded plastic alternatives, giving the fitting a solid 1.2kg presence on the wall and better heat dissipation for the internal LED. The tempered glass front panel diffuses the LED output to prevent direct glare when the light is viewed from the side, while still directing most of the light downward and forward rather than spilling it sideways along the wall. The 6W integrated LED runs at 3000K, which sits in the warm-white spectrum favoured for residential exteriors, and the non-dimmable driver connects directly to UK 230V mains.

What does the IP65 rating cover?

IP65 means the fitting is completely dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. It can be installed in fully exposed positions subject to rain, but is not rated for submersion. Suitable for UK exterior walls, eaves, porches and covered courtyards.

Can the LED be replaced?

The 6W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. LED lifespan is typically rated at 30,000+ hours, which is approximately 10 years of use at 8 hours per night.

Is the light dimmable?

No. The integrated driver does not support dimmer switches. The light operates at full 6W output when powered.

How is it mounted?

The Arcana-1 surface-mounts directly to the wall via fixing points on the rear of the aluminium housing. The mains cable enters through a rear knockout and the fitting sits 130mm proud of the wall face once installed.
