Description

The Alfa Linear is an 850mm island pendant built around five faceted clear crystal glass shades mounted to a polished brass wave frame. Each shade houses a single G9 bulb (sold separately), and the entire fitting suspends from two adjustable cables connected to a rectangular polished brass ceiling plate. The brass frame curves in a continuous wave pattern between the five shade positions, creating a rhythmic horizontal line when viewed from the side.

Designed for kitchen islands and dining tables in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Alfa Linear provides task lighting at worktop or table level while serving as a focal piece above the surface it illuminates. The 440-660mm adjustable drop allows the fitting to be set 700-800mm above a dining table or 600-750mm above a kitchen island depending on ceiling height and user preference. The 850mm length suits island worktops and dining tables between 1.5-2.2m long.

Each of the five crystal glass shades is multi-faceted, so light from the G9 bulbs refracts through the cut edges and creates prismatic reflections on nearby surfaces. The polished brass frame reflects both the bulb light and ambient daylight, amplifying the total light output compared to a matt or darker metal finish. The frame's wave pattern gives the fitting a sculptural presence even when the bulbs are off. At 4.8kg the Alfa Linear requires a secure ceiling rose capable of supporting the weight, and most standard UK ceiling roses meet this requirement.
