Description

The Alessia is a 28cm pendant light with a shallow dome shade in matte white paired with a satin pearl grey canopy and matching stem detail. A single black fabric cord runs from the ceiling rose through the grey canopy to the bulb fitting inside the white shade. The shade itself measures 19cm in height and casts light downwards and sideways, providing both task illumination and ambient fill.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas and breakfast bars, the Alessia works as a single pendant over a small table or in multiples along a kitchen island. The 35-150cm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be positioned 60-80cm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The shade diameter of 28cm suits spacing of 50-70cm when using multiple pendants in a row. The black cord provides visual grounding against white ceilings and the grey canopy softens the transition between ceiling and shade.

The matte white finish on the interior of the shade reflects light evenly without glare, while the satin pearl grey exterior on the canopy and stem adds a soft metallic accent that catches daylight without being overtly decorative. The pendant accepts a standard E27 bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and kitchen tasks.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The cord allows adjustment between 35cm and 150cm total drop during installation. This means the pendant can be positioned 60-80cm above a worktop or table surface depending on your ceiling height.

How many pendants are needed for a kitchen island?

For a typical 1.8-2.4m kitchen island, two or three Alessia pendants spaced 50-70cm apart provide balanced coverage. The 28cm shade diameter means they do not overwhelm smaller islands but still deliver adequate task light when grouped.

Is the IP20 rating suitable for kitchens?

Yes. IP20 is the standard rating for general interior dry locations including kitchens. The pendant is not rated for direct water exposure so should be positioned away from sinks and hobs where steam or splashes are frequent.
