Aleron LED Medium Round Alabaster Flush Ceiling Light - Brushed Brass

The Aleron is a 500mm round flush ceiling light cut from natural Spanish alabaster, with a slim 50mm profile and a brushed brass centre boss set into the face of the disc. An integrated 48W LED sits concealed behind the stone, casting warm 3000K light through the alabaster so the disc itself becomes the diffuser. The fitting reads as a single shallow plate of stone against the ceiling rather than a layered light fixture.

At only 50mm deep, the Aleron is built for rooms where pendant or semi-flush fittings won't clear the ceiling. It suits hallways, landings, bedrooms, dressing rooms and bathrooms (subject to the appropriate IP zone, see Specification) with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards. The fitting mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose backplate, and the wide 500mm diameter gives broad ambient coverage in rooms up to roughly 12-15 square metres without needing a second light source.

Each disc is cut from a single section of alabaster, so the veining, translucent patches and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. Warm and cooler bands run across the stone and become more visible when the LED is lit, giving the surface a layered mineral character rather than a flat opaque glow. The brushed brass centre boss adds a small point of metallic contrast against the soft white stone and conceals the central fixing.

Is the Aleron suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 50mm overall height makes the Aleron a true flush fitting, sitting tight to the ceiling. It works well in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards, including hallways, landings and bedrooms where a pendant or semi-flush would intrude on headroom.

What size room does it suit?

At 500mm diameter with a 48W integrated LED at 3000K, the Aleron gives broad ambient coverage in rooms of roughly 12-15 square metres. Larger rooms or rooms used for detailed task work may benefit from a second fitting or supplementary task lighting.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, translucency and tonal bands differ between individual pieces. The variation becomes more pronounced when the LED is lit and is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe the surface gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners — alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
