The Akira is a 3-light wall lamp combining an antique brass frame with three cream fabric shades and decorative glass backplates behind each bulb holder. The fitting mounts on a square brass wall plate 420mm wide, with three curved arms extending forward 200mm, each supporting an E14 lamp socket beneath a square-section cream shade. The glass backplates sit between the bulb and the shade, adding depth and reflecting light within the fitting.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and bedroom walls where ambient light is needed without a ceiling fitting, the Akira provides three 360° light sources that spread illumination across a 4-5m wall. Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible wall dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not include dimming electronics, so both the bulbs and the wall switch must support dimming.

What projection does it have from the wall?

The arms extend 200mm forward from the wall plate. This is suitable for walls where furniture sits 300mm or more away, such as above a sideboard, console table or along a hallway wall.

How is the shade cleaned?

The cream fabric shades attract dust over time. Remove dust with a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low power, or gently wipe with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid water or cleaning sprays on the fabric.
