The Akira is a 2-light table lamp built on a polished chrome V-shaped frame that supports two black fabric shades at staggered heights. Between the chrome arms sit precision-cut crystal elements that catch and reflect light from the two E14 bulbs (sold separately). The lamp stands 400mm tall with a 310mm width and a 140mm footprint, giving it a compact presence on side tables, console tables or bedside cabinets.

Designed for living rooms, entrance halls and bedrooms where ambient light and decorative impact are both needed, the Akira delivers two-point illumination without requiring a ceiling fitting. The black rectangular shades diffuse the light softly, while the polished chrome and crystal create reflective accents that add brightness and depth to the immediate area. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer on the circuit.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs comfortably with both warm-toned and cooler contemporary interiors. The black fabric shades provide solid contrast and prevent glare from the bulbs when viewed at eye level. The crystal accents between the arms are faceted to catch light from multiple angles, creating a shimmer effect when the lamp is switched on. At 2.3kg the lamp sits stably on most surfaces without needing to be secured.

What bulb does it take?

The Akira takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting in living rooms or bedrooms.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker if used with a dimmer.

What size table does it suit?

The 140mm x 310mm footprint fits comfortably on console tables, side tables and bedside cabinets from 400mm width upwards. The 400mm height works well on surfaces 600-750mm from the floor.

How is the chrome cleaned?

Wipe the polished chrome with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, followed by immediate drying to prevent water spots. Avoid abrasive cleaners that will scratch the chrome finish.
