The Akira is a 90cm diameter crystal chandelier with 12 E14 bulbs arranged across two tiers, each arm supporting a hand-formed crystal glass cup beneath a square black fabric shade. The antique brass frame forms a symmetrical three-arm structure at each tier, with the arms meeting at a central column that runs from the ceiling canopy to the lower tier.

Designed for dining rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the chandelier provides ambient and decorative light through the combination of black fabric diffusion and clear crystal glass cups that catch and scatter light from the bulbs. The adjustable drop runs from 850mm to 1260mm on installation, allowing the fitting to sit 700-900mm above a dining table or be positioned higher in a double-height entrance. The square-section brass arms and substantial crystal cups give the fitting a total weight of 10.1kg, requiring a reinforced ceiling rose or mounting plate for safe installation.

The antique brass finish shows a darker, warmer tone than polished brass, with slight patination that reduces reflections and pairs well with both traditional oak dining tables and darker contemporary interiors. Each of the 12 crystal glass cups is hand-formed rather than pressed, so the curvature and thickness vary slightly between individual pieces. The black fabric shades measure approximately 120mm square at the base, providing enough diffusion to soften direct glare from the bulbs while still allowing downward light throw for task visibility at table level.
