The Aire is a 16-light semi-flush ceiling light built around telescopic polished chrome arms radiating from a central ceiling mount, each arm terminating in a clear glass dome housing a G4 halogen bulb. The arms extend and retract between a 510mm minimum and 750mm maximum drop, allowing the fitting to be adjusted on installation to suit different ceiling heights and room proportions. The polished chrome finish reflects both the bulb light and ambient daylight, creating movement across the sculptural frame.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Aire works as a centrepiece in living rooms, dining rooms and double-height entrance halls where its 660mm diameter and radial structure provide presence without overwhelming the space. The 16 G4 bulbs (sold separately, 10W max per bulb) produce up to 160W of combined light output, delivering ambient illumination that spreads outward from the multiple light sources rather than concentrating downward from a single point.

The telescopic mechanism uses internal spring-loaded arms that lock at the desired drop during fitting, so the silhouette can be compressed to 510mm for lower ceilings or extended to 750mm for higher vaulted spaces. The glass domes at each arm tip diffuse the G4 capsule bulbs, softening harsh point-source light into a more distributed glow. The fitting weighs 4.5kg, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard anchor.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The telescopic arms lock at the desired drop during fitting. Adjusting the drop after installation requires removing the fitting from the ceiling mount and resetting the arm positions, so it's best determined during initial installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

With a minimum drop of 510mm and a 660mm diameter, the Aire suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above. In lower-ceilinged rooms the fitting may dominate the vertical space, particularly when set to the maximum 750mm drop.

Is it compatible with LED dimmer switches?

The Aire requires a trailing-edge dimmer designed for halogen loads, not an LED-rated dimmer. Using an LED dimmer with halogen G4 bulbs may cause flickering or failure to dim correctly.
