Description

This adjustable spotlight from the Laven range is a recessed steel fitting that takes a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which is supplied separately rather than included. The round head tilts through 15 degrees, so the lamp can be angled away from straight down to aim light where it is wanted. With the bulb chosen to suit the room, the fitting directs that light rather than providing it.

The 15 degree tilt makes it a practical choice for picking out artwork, washing a feature wall or marking out a zone within a larger ceiling layout. Several units can be set across a kitchen, hallway or living space and aimed independently, each one turned towards a different focal point. It recesses into the ceiling for a flush, low-profile finish, with the head sitting close to the plane of the plasterboard.

Built from steel in a graphite finish, the fitting measures Ø97 by 24 mm and drops into an 80mm cut-out, which keeps the visible bezel neat against the surrounding ceiling. It carries an IP20 rating, so it is for dry indoor positions only and should be kept away from bathrooms and any exposed location. It accepts a GU10 lamp of up to 10W; the lamp is not supplied, so a separate GU10 bulb should be specified to suit.

No. This is a fitting supplied without a lamp. It accepts a single GU10 twist-lock bulb, which should be bought separately and chosen to suit your brightness and tone preference.

What size cut-out does it need?

It drops into an 80mm cut-out in the ceiling. The fitting recesses flush for a low-profile finish, with an overall face diameter of around 97 mm covering the surrounding edge.
