Description

The Adastra 1U PDU is a rackmount power distribution unit providing six UK BS1363 sockets within a standard 19-inch 1U rack height. A resettable 10A circuit breaker protects the circuit from overload, while a master switch allows the entire PDU to be powered on or off without unplugging individual devices. The unit ships with a hard-wired 1.8m UK mains lead.

Designed for AV racks, server cabinets, studio installations and broadcast environments, the PDU mounts horizontally into a standard 19-inch rack using the flanged mounting ears on either side. The 1.8m lead length provides enough reach from the PDU position to a wall outlet or secondary distribution point without requiring extension leads. The six sockets are spaced to accommodate standard UK 13A plugs, though bulkier transformer blocks may obstruct adjacent sockets.

The 10A total load rating across all six sockets allows the PDU to power typical AV and IT equipment — mixers, amplifiers, monitors, media players, routers — without approaching the breaker threshold under normal operation. The breaker resets via a push-button on the front panel, visible through the rack door on most cabinets. The master switch sits adjacent to the breaker and glows red when the PDU is powered, providing a clear visual indication of circuit status.
