Description

Actio II is an 80x120cm abstract acrylic painting on stretched canvas, featuring sweeping black brushwork over a cream and soft beige background with fine linear detail throughout. The painting is framed in a black polystyrene edge profile that adds 4.5cm depth to the piece, protecting the canvas edges and giving it a gallery-ready finish straight from the box.

Designed to hang either vertically or horizontally, the painting works as a vertical accent above a console table or sideboard, or horizontally above a sofa or bed headboard in rooms with lower ceilings. The high-contrast palette of black against cream makes it a strong focal point in rooms with neutral walls, and the composition pairs well with Scandinavian, mid-century and contemporary interiors that use natural wood, grey textiles and monochrome accents.

The acrylic paint is applied in layers to build texture on the black curves, while the cream sections remain flat and matte, creating visual interest through depth variation rather than colour. Yes. The painting ships with hanging hardware on the back that allows it to be oriented either way. The composition works in both positions, so orientation depends on your wall space and the furniture arrangement below.
