Description
This is the Acorn Multi cushion, a woven jacquard piece carrying the 1879 Acorn design of branching oak, slender leaves and scattered acorns. The pattern is not printed on but woven into the cloth itself, so the raised leaves and stems have real texture you can feel under your hand. It measures 55cm square, the standard scatter size, and the whole face is given over to a mirrored arrangement of foliage in deep and light greens with warm russet buds and acorn caps picked out among them. A twisted rope trim runs the full edge, and the design continues on the reverse so the cushion reads well whichever way it falls.
A cushion this size sits comfortably on an armchair, a two or three seater sofa, a bench or a window seat, and the square proportion means it plumps up without dominating. The green ground and hedgerow motif make it an easy companion to natural woods, linen upholstery and muted walls, and it works as well massed with plain cushions as it does standing alone against a neutral seat. If you are already living with the Acorn design elsewhere, this cushion shares its family with the matching curtains and throws, so a room can be built up piece by piece.
The cover is woven from 100% polyester, which holds a jacquard weave crisply, resists creasing and keeps its colour well in a bright room. The rope trim is stitched into the seam and a zip along one edge lets you take the cover off when it needs freshening. Because the same acorn-and-leaf motif repeats across both faces, you can turn it over to even out wear or simply to change the emphasis of the greens. Sit it against solid colours and let the pattern carry the room.

Frequently Asked
Is the pattern printed or woven into the fabric?
It is a jacquard weave, so the acorn branches and leaves are woven into the cloth itself, giving the surface a raised, textured feel rather than a flat printed finish.
Can I use both sides of the cushion?
Yes. The cushion is double-sided with the same design front and back, so you can turn it over to even out wear or vary how the greens read in the light.
Does the cover come off for cleaning?
There is a zip along one edge, so the cover lifts off the pad easily when you want to freshen it or store it away.
What size is this cushion and where does it suit?
It is 55cm square, the standard scatter size, which sits well on an armchair, a sofa, a bench or a window seat without overwhelming the seat.
What is the trim around the edge?
A twisted rope trim is stitched into the seam all the way round, framing the woven design and giving the edge a defined finish.
