Description

The Acanto is a 2 light wall lamp built around a polished chrome scrollwork frame with cut lead crystal pans and black silk string shades. Each of the two arms rises from a central chrome backplate, curving outward to hold a shallow crystal pan beneath a tapered black shade. The lamp takes two E14 bulbs (sold separately) and includes an integrated wall switch on the backplate.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms where wall space is available alongside seating or beside a bed, the Acanto provides ambient and decorative light without needing ceiling wiring. The 160mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of furniture backs, while the 310mm width suits standard wall spaces between door frames or picture rails. The integrated switch allows the lamp to be controlled without returning to the main room switch.

The polished chrome finish gives a mirror-like reflective surface that works in both traditional and transitional interiors, while the black silk string shades soften the light output and reduce glare. What bulbs does it take?

The Acanto takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or living room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible wall dimmer on the circuit. The integrated wall switch on the lamp itself is not a dimmer — it provides on/off control only.

How is it wired?

The Acanto is a hardwired wall light requiring connection to mains wiring inside the wall. The integrated switch allows local control once wired. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.

Can the shades be removed for cleaning?

The black silk string shades clip onto the lamp holders and can be lifted off for dusting or gentle cleaning. The crystal pans sit on metal supports and can be removed for wiping with a damp cloth.
