Description
The Acanto is a single-light wall lamp built around an antique brass scrollwork arm that curves outward from a circular backplate, supporting a cut lead crystal pan and an amber cream silk shade. The E14 bulb fitting (sold separately) sits inside the shade, with light passing through both the silk and the crystal pan below to create layered ambient output.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where wall-mounted ambient lighting is needed, the Acanto projects 220mm from the wall and stands 380mm tall, making it suitable for positioning either side of a mirror, alongside a bed headboard, or in narrow corridors where floor or table lamps would obstruct passage. The antique brass finish carries a warm, slightly aged patina that pairs with traditional joinery, panelled walls and heritage interiors.
The amber cream silk shade diffuses light into a warm glow rather than directing it as task lighting, so the lamp works as secondary ambient light rather than primary room illumination. The cut crystal pan below the shade adds a decorative accent when the lamp is off and creates small refractions when lit. The scrollwork arm is solid metal rather than hollow tubing, giving the fitting a 0.8kg weight that feels substantial on the wall once installed.
The lamp is dimmable when paired with a dimmable E14 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The 130mm width at the backplate means the lamp sits comfortably on walls with limited space between door frames or adjacent fittings.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Acanto take?
The lamp takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable E14 bulb and a compatible wall dimmer switch. The lamp itself does not restrict dimming — dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb chosen.
How far does it project from the wall?
The lamp projects 220mm from the wall at its furthest point (the front edge of the shade). The backplate is 130mm wide, so the fitting suits walls with limited clearance between door frames or adjacent fittings.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The lamp carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor installation.
