ABETE LED EL 7W Adjustable Garden Spike Light IP44 - Anthracite

The ABETE LED EL is a garden spike light that stakes directly into soil, gravel or a planting border to throw light across the area around it. It draws 7W from a 220 to 240V AC mains supply and delivers 540 lumens at a neutral 4000K, with a colour rendering of Ra 80 that keeps planting and paving looking true. A landscape spike light in US terms, it sits on a pointed stake so the head can be repositioned among shrubs and beds as a garden matures, with the adjustable head letting you aim the beam at a wall, fence post or specimen plant.

Aim it at architectural planting, a low garden wall, a feature shrub or a path edge where a single staked fitting can graze a surface or pick out a focal point after dark. As a spike light it suits flower beds, gravel borders and the base of trees rather than open areas, so coverage is best judged by where the head is pointed and how close it sits to the surface it lights, not by floor area. Its IP44 rating makes it splash resistant and well suited to sheltered, covered spots such as a porch surround, a carport edge or a planted area under eaves; keep it clear of fully exposed positions, direct hose jets and standing water.

The body is made from anthracite aluminium alloy, a robust housing that handles outdoor temperature swings while the dark finish recedes into planting during the day. It measures 100 by 105 by 200 mm and weighs 760 g, mounting on its integral ground spike with no wall, ceiling or recessed fixing needed. The fixed 4000K output is not dimmable, and the LED is rated for around 30,000 hours of use. Can the ABETE be used outdoors?

It carries an IP44 rating, which makes it splash resistant and suitable for sheltered or covered outdoor spots such as planted borders under eaves, a porch surround or a carport edge. It is not designed for fully exposed positions, direct water jets or standing water, so site it where it has some shelter.

Is the head angle adjustable?

Yes, the head can be tilted on the spike so you can aim the beam at a wall, fence, specimen plant or path edge. This lets you fine-tune the lighting effect once the fitting is staked in place and adjust it again as planting grows.

Does it run on mains or need a separate transformer?

The ABETE runs directly from a 220 to 240V AC mains supply, so no low-voltage transformer is required. It should be wired into a suitable outdoor-rated circuit by a qualified electrician.

How do I keep it clean?

Wipe the anthracite aluminium body and lens with a soft damp cloth when dust or soil splashes build up, then dry it off. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive pads so the finish and lens clarity are preserved.
