Description
The Knightsbridge TRLED16EM is a 1828mm (6ft) LED emergency batten with a 33W integrated LED producing 4100 lumens of 4000K cool white light. Built from grey polycarbonate with an IP65 rating, the fitting is non-corrosive and sealed against dust and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for car parks, warehouses, food preparation areas, light industrial units and external covered walkways where moisture and occasional wash-down are expected.
The emergency function provides maintained or non-maintained backup lighting during mains power failure, keeping exit routes and work areas illuminated until mains supply is restored. The polycarbonate diffuser spreads light across a 120° beam angle, reducing harsh shadows and hot-spots across ceilings and walls in long corridors or workshop aisles. The fitting mounts directly to ceilings or walls using four fixing points, with cable entry through a rear knockout port sealed by a compression gland.
The grey polycarbonate body resists impact, corrosion and UV degradation better than painted steel, holding up in environments where moisture, temperature fluctuation and chemical exposure would compromise metal fittings. At 1828mm length, the batten spans standard joist or rafter centres in commercial and light industrial buildings, reducing the number of fittings needed to achieve target lux levels. The Class I earthed construction pairs with standard UK mains wiring and the integrated LED removes the need for lamp replacement over the fitting's operational life.

Product Specification Sheet
Frequently Asked
What does the emergency function do?
The emergency circuit provides backup lighting during mains power failure. In maintained mode the LED stays on continuously; in non-maintained mode it activates only when mains power is lost. Configuration depends on the model variant and internal switch settings — see the specification sheet for details.
Can it be used outdoors?
The IP65 rating allows the batten to be used in covered outdoor locations such as canopies, loading bays and external walkways where it is protected from direct rain but exposed to moisture and dust. It is not rated for full outdoor exposure without overhead cover.
What mounting options are available?
The batten fixes to ceilings or walls using four mounting points on the rear of the housing. Cable entry is through a rear knockout port fitted with a compression gland to maintain the IP65 seal. Standard UK mains wiring connects to the terminal block inside the housing.
Is it dimmable?
No. The integrated LED driver operates on full output only and is not compatible with dimmer switches or control systems.
