Description

The Knightsbridge 45A DP cooker switch provides double-pole isolation for electric cookers, ranges and ovens up to 10.35kW on a 230V supply. The switch is housed in a 2-gang plate (147.5mm x 87.5mm) finished in black nickel with a red neon indicator above the rocker that illuminates when the circuit is live.

Designed for kitchen installation where a separate cooker control unit with integral socket is not required, the switch fits a standard 47mm minimum back box and isolates both live and neutral conductors when switched off. The neon indicator confirms whether the circuit is energised, allowing safe maintenance on the connected appliance when the switch is in the off position. The double-pole switching meets BS 7671 requirements for fixed appliances.

The black nickel finish is a dark gunmetal tone that pairs with stainless steel appliances, dark cabinetry and monochrome kitchen schemes. The 2-gang plate size matches the footprint of a standard 2-gang socket, making it straightforward to replace existing switches or plan new installations where plate dimensions need to align with adjacent fittings.
