The Knightsbridge 4-gang multimedia combo plate combines two 13A double-pole switched sockets, dual USB ports (USB-C and USB-A), and apertures for up to eight 25x50mm Euro module inserts behind a single anthracite screwless faceplate with black inserts. The dual USB ports share a 5V DC 4.0A output with fast-charge support up to 18W, compatible with USB Power Delivery and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 protocols.

Designed for home offices, media walls, and AV installations where power, data and multimedia connections need to occupy the same wall position, the plate accepts Euro modules for Ethernet, HDMI, satellite TV, DAB radio, phone lines and other low-voltage connections. The two 13A sockets handle standard UK appliances up to 3,120W per outlet, while the USB ports provide charging without needing separate plug adapters. The 47mm minimum back box depth allows twin metal back boxes to be installed side-by-side to support the full plate width.

The anthracite finish is a dark grey-black powder-coated steel that pairs with contemporary interiors and hides fingerprints better than gloss finishes. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. Twin earthing points on the sub-frame provide a high-integrity earth connection for installations where multiple circuits or shielded data cables are terminated behind the plate. The integrated gasket around the cover plate edge reduces dust ingress behind the faceplate.

The plate accepts standard 25x50mm Euro modules for Ethernet sockets (Cat5e, Cat6), HDMI, coaxial TV connections, satellite F-connectors, phone line sockets, speaker terminals, and other low-voltage modules. Modules are sold separately and clip into the apertures from the front once the cover plate is removed.

What back box configuration is needed?

A minimum 47mm back box depth is required. Most installations use two twin metal back boxes installed side-by-side to support the full plate width and provide separate cable entry points for power circuits and low-voltage data cables. The back boxes should be positioned to align with the mounting holes on the sub-frame.

How fast does the USB charging work?

The dual USB ports share a 5V DC 4.0A output and support up to 18W fast charging via USB Power Delivery and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The plate negotiates voltage between 5V and 12V depending on the device connected. Fast charging typically works most effectively between 0-70% battery capacity before the device switches to standard charge to protect battery lifespan.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The anthracite cover plate clips onto a metal sub-frame fixed to the back boxes. The cover can be removed for painting or wallpapering around the plate and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or modules.
