Description

The Knightsbridge SFR994BCG is a 2-gang multimedia combo plate combining two 13A DP switched sockets, dual USB charging (one USB-A, one USB-C), and capacity for four 25x50mm Euro insert modules. The brushed chrome screwless faceplate sits over a grey insert and fits a 35mm minimum back box depth. The USB ports share a 5V DC 4.0A output with fast-charge support up to 18W, compatible with USB-PD and QC3.0 protocols.

Designed for office workstations, home entertainment units and smart home installations where power, data and AV connections converge at a single point, the combo plate allows flexible configuration of Euro modules (CAT6, HDMI, coaxial, audio ports) alongside mains power and USB charging. The dual-pole switching isolates both live and neutral when the sockets are turned off, providing additional safety for high-draw appliances and AV equipment.

The 201 stainless steel faceplate is finished in brushed chrome with a low-sheen directional grain that hides fingerprints and pairs cleanly with stainless steel appliances and contemporary metallic interiors. The screwless design clips onto a separate sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. The grey insert behind the chrome plate provides a neutral backdrop that softens the contrast with white or light-coloured walls.

The combo plate measures 180mm x 147.5mm and projects 9.5mm from the wall once fitted. The USB charge function includes ErP-compliant standby circuitry with minimal phantom draw when no devices are connected. Fast charging operates from 0-70% battery capacity on compatible devices to reduce long-term battery degradation, reverting to standard 5V charge rates above 70%.

The plate accepts four standard 25x50mm Euro insert modules. Common options include CAT6 data sockets, HDMI, coaxial TV/satellite, 3.5mm audio jacks, and fibre optic connectors. Euro modules are sold separately and clip into the aperture behind the chrome faceplate.

What back box depth is required?

A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed to accommodate the plate, sockets, USB charging circuitry, and any Euro modules fitted behind the faceplate. Deeper back boxes (47mm) provide easier cable management when multiple data or AV connections are in use.

What is the USB charging output?

The USB-A and USB-C ports share a 5V DC 4.0A output. Fast charge protocols (USB-PD, QC3.0) deliver up to 18W to a single device when plugged in alone. When both USB ports are in use simultaneously, the 4.0A output is shared between them.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The brushed chrome cover plate clips onto a metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the plate and re-clipped without re-wiring or disturbing the installed Euro modules.
