Description
The Knightsbridge 2-gang intelligent dimmer provides independent rotary control for two separate lighting circuits, each rated at 10-200W for incandescent, halogen or mains-voltage lighting, or 5-150W for dimmable LED loads. The dimmer supports both trailing-edge and leading-edge dimming modes, switchable via a recessed control accessed from the front plate without removing the faceplate from the wall.
Designed for dual-zone lighting setups in living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms where separate control of two circuits is needed from a single wall position, the dimmer operates on 2-way switching configurations, allowing the same lighting circuit to be controlled from two locations. Each rotary knob combines push on/off with rotation for dimming — push to toggle power, rotate to adjust brightness while the circuit is live.
The antique brass finish provides a warm, aged-metal appearance with darker tonal variation across the brushed surface, suited to traditional, classical and heritage interiors. The screwless faceplate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. Built-in overload and overheat protection shut down the dimmer if the connected load exceeds the rated capacity or if internal temperature rises beyond safe operating limits, protecting the circuit and the dimmer module itself.
The dimmer ships preset to trailing-edge mode, which suits most dimmable LED bulbs and low-voltage LED drivers. Leading-edge mode is available for older incandescent, halogen and magnetic transformer loads. The front-plate access to trim and reset settings allows fine-tuning of minimum brightness levels without removing the dimmer from the wall, useful when pairing with LED bulbs that flicker or fail to extinguish fully at the lowest dimmer setting.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between trailing-edge and leading-edge dimming?
Trailing-edge dimming suits most dimmable LED bulbs and electronic transformers, cutting the power at the end of each AC cycle to reduce flicker and buzzing. Leading-edge dimming suits older incandescent, halogen and magnetic transformer loads, cutting power at the start of each cycle. This dimmer ships preset to trailing-edge but can be switched to leading-edge via the front-plate control.
Can I mix different bulb types on the same gang?
No. Each gang must control a single lamp type, brand and wattage. Mixing LED bulbs from different manufacturers, or pairing LED with incandescent on the same circuit, causes uneven dimming, flicker or failure to dim at all.
What back box depth is required?
A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed. The dimmer module projects 21.3mm into the back box, with the screwless faceplate adding 22.6mm from the wall surface once installed.
How do I adjust the minimum brightness level?
A recessed trim control is accessible from the front plate without removing the dimmer from the wall. Turn the trim control clockwise to raise the minimum brightness level if LED bulbs flicker or fail to turn off fully at the lowest setting, or anticlockwise to lower the minimum if bulbs extinguish before reaching the desired low-light level.
