Description

The Knightsbridge 13A fused spur unit provides a switched connection point for fixed appliances such as boilers, extractor fans, water heaters and kitchen appliances, with the fuse accessible behind a brushed chrome screwless faceplate. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, hiding all fixings for a clean finished appearance on the wall.

Designed for residential and commercial installation where a permanently wired appliance needs its own dedicated circuit protection, the unit accepts a standard 13A fuse cartridge which can be replaced without disconnecting the wiring. The built-in gasket between the sub-frame and the cover plate reduces dust ingress and provides a firm seating for the faceplate. The 25mm minimum back box depth requirement makes it compatible with standard UK back boxes in both new-build and retrofit applications.

The brushed chrome finish is a fine linear grain that softens reflections compared to polished chrome, pairing well with contemporary kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms where stainless steel appliances or chrome taps are already present. The 87.5mm square faceplate matches the dimensions of standard UK single-gang plates, allowing it to sit in line with adjacent switches and sockets from the same Knightsbridge range. The unit is certified to BS 1363-4 and carries a 25-year manufacturer warranty.
