The Knightsbridge FPR9904NBC is a 13A 2-gang switched socket with two USB-A charging ports and integrated LED status indicators behind a brushed chrome faceplate with black insert. The dual USB-A ports share a 5V DC 2.4A output, while red, green and off LED states show real-time charging status for connected devices.

Designed for residential kitchens, home offices and bedrooms where both mains and USB charging are needed at the same location, the socket fits a standard 35mm minimum back box depth. The flat plate design sits 7.5mm proud of the wall once installed, with a precision-fitted gasket preventing dust ingress around the plate edge. The 13A rating per gang handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W per outlet.

The brushed chrome finish is fabricated from 201 stainless steel with a directional grain that resists fingerprints and suits both contemporary and transitional interiors. The black insert behind the chrome faceplate provides defined contrast around each outlet and switch aperture. The LED indicators illuminate red during active charging, green when a device is connected but charging complete, and turn off when no device is present. A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The flat plate design adds 7.5mm of projection from the wall once fitted, with 27.3mm recessed behind the wall surface.

What do the LED indicators show?

The LEDs illuminate red during active charging, green when a connected device has finished charging, and turn off completely when no device is present. This provides real-time status without needing to check the device itself.

What's the USB charging output?

The two USB-A ports share a combined 5V DC 2.4A output. When two devices are connected simultaneously, the 2.4A is divided between them. Use certified USB cables for best charging performance and device safety.

Is the faceplate screwed or screwless?
