Description

The Knightsbridge SFR992RMBB combines a 13A 2-gang DP switched socket, dual USB fast charge ports (USB-A and USB-C), and a 2-gang modular aperture on a single 235mm matt black screwless faceplate. The USB ports share 5V DC 4.0A output and support Quick Charge and USB Power Delivery protocols up to 18W, while the modular aperture accepts two 25x50mm Euro modules or one 50x50mm module for data, HDMI, audio or other low-voltage inserts.

Designed for home offices, kitchens, media walls and hotel rooms where power, charging and connectivity need to be consolidated at a single point, the plate replaces what would otherwise be three separate fittings. The double-pole switching on the socket isolates both live and neutral when switched off, providing additional safety for high-draw appliances. The modular aperture is located on the left side of the plate, with the USB ports and sockets to the right.

The matt black SPCC steel faceplate has a low-sheen powder coat finish that minimises fingerprints and reflections. The screwless cover clips onto a separate sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. An integrated gasket between the plate and wall reduces dust ingress and improves the seal around the fitting. The plate requires a minimum 35mm back box depth, with 47mm recommended for easier cable management when all outlets are in use simultaneously.

Built-in overheat and overload protection on the USB circuit prevents damage to connected devices during charging. The fast charge function typically activates between 0-70% battery level before stepping down to standard charge mode as the device approaches full capacity. Twin earth terminals provide separate earthing for the socket circuit and the modular aperture, meeting current wiring regulations for mixed-voltage installations.
