Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 2-gang 2-way switch controls two independent lighting circuits from multiple switching locations, finished in antique brass with a screwless faceplate. Each gang is rated at 10AX (2,300W at 230V), making it suitable for standard lighting loads and higher-draw circuits including some motor-start applications.

Two-way switching allows a single lighting circuit to be controlled from two different wall locations — common in hallways, staircases and larger rooms where lights need to be switched on entering and leaving from different doors. This 2-gang configuration provides that control for two separate circuits behind a single faceplate, reducing the number of switch plates needed on the wall.

The screwless cover plate is cut from 201 stainless steel and finished in antique brass, giving a warm aged-metal appearance that pairs with traditional, period and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, hiding all fixings once installed. The built-in gasket between plate and wall improves the seal against dust ingress. The switch requires a minimum 16mm back box depth and projects 8.4mm from the wall when fitted.
