Description

The Knightsbridge CSTOG12BC is a 10AX 1-gang intermediate toggle switch in brushed chrome with a square edge profile. An intermediate switch is required in 3-way lighting circuits where three switches control a single light fitting, typically on staircases and landings where switches are positioned at the bottom of the stairs, top of the stairs, and end of the landing. The intermediate switch sits in the middle position of the circuit to allow all three switches to function correctly.

Rated at 10AX, the switch handles loads up to 2,300W on a 230V circuit, suitable for standard domestic lighting including LED, halogen and incandescent fittings. The square edge design sits flush to the wall surface with a built-in gasket behind the faceplate that seals the edge against the mounting box, reducing draughts and dust ingress through the wall cavity. The switch fits a minimum 16mm back box depth and requires standard UK double-gang wiring terminals.

The brushed chrome finish is applied to 430 stainless steel, providing a hard-wearing surface resistant to tarnishing and fingerprint marking in high-traffic areas. The metal toggle matches the faceplate finish and gives a tactile switching action with positive on/off positions.
