Description

The Tybia is a square surface-mounted LED ceiling light with a built-in PIR motion sensor, drawing 25W and putting out 2600 lumens of neutral 4000K white. The integrated LED runs from a 220-240V AC mains supply, with a wide 110 degree beam that spreads light evenly across the space below rather than throwing it in a tight pool. As a flush mount LED ceiling light, it sits close to the surface on a 320 x 320 mm body just 65 mm deep, so it suits rooms where a hanging fitting would feel intrusive. The PIR sensor brings the light up automatically on movement, which makes it a practical hands-free option in transit areas.

Around 9 m² of floor area is covered at general lighting levels, which makes the Tybia a sensible fit for hallways, landings, porload-free utility rooms, garages and storerooms where the automatic switching earns its keep. The motion sensor is most useful in spaces you pass through with full hands or where a wall switch is awkward to reach, so a stairwell or entrance lobby suits it well. With an IP20 rating it is built for dry indoor positions only and should be kept clear of bathrooms, damp utility corners and any outdoor location. Its low profile also helps on lower ceilings where headroom is tight.

The body is made from aluminium alloy in a black finish, giving a clean square outline against a pale ceiling. The integrated LED is rated for 30,000 hours and the fitting is not dimmable, so it is best paired with the PIR control rather than a dimmer circuit. It mounts directly to the ceiling and runs straight from mains voltage with no separate transformer to specify. Colour rendering sits at Ra 80, which is fine for circulation and utility spaces. Niori stocks the Tybia alongside other sensor-ready ceiling fittings in the range.

Frequently Asked

How big a room will it light?

The Tybia delivers 2600 lumens at 4000K, covering roughly 9 m² at general lighting levels. That makes it well suited to hallways, landings, small utility rooms and garages. For larger or task-focused spaces you may want to add a second fitting.

Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?

No. The Tybia carries an IP20 rating, so it is designed for dry indoor positions only. Keep it out of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor location.

Does it have a replaceable bulb?

No, the LED is integrated rather than using a replaceable bulb. It is rated for 30,000 hours of use, which is many years in a typical hallway or utility space. When the LED eventually reaches end of life the whole fitting is replaced.

How do I clean it?

Switch off at the mains and let the fitting cool, then wipe the surface with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents on the black aluminium body. Keep the sensor lens clear of dust so motion detection stays reliable.
