Description

The Taiko is a 550mm four-light chandelier with a sculptural metal cluster frame finished in olde bronze, enclosed by a cream linen drum shade. The frame comprises individually welded metal rods arranged in a criss-crossing nest pattern beneath the shade, creating depth and texture while partially obscuring the four E27 bulb fittings. The metal cluster casts patterned shadows through the linen when lit.

Designed for dining rooms, large entrance halls and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Taiko works as both ambient and decorative lighting. The 1324mm maximum drop is adjustable on installation via a central suspension rod, allowing the chandelier to hang 700-900mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. The four E27 sockets take standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), giving flexibility in colour temperature and brightness.

The olde bronze finish gives the metalwork a weathered patina with tonal variation across the surface, contrasting with the clean neutral tone of the linen shade. The shade is 297mm deep and diffuses light both upwards to the ceiling and downwards through the open base where the metal cluster sits. UK-manufactured by Elstead Lighting, the chandelier uses a traditional ceiling rose fixing and the suspension rod conceals the cable run.
